Re-enactment of the HISTORIC 1925 Alaska Serum Run on the
Virginia Creeper Trail has been cancelled for 2012
January 15, 2011
Come see the sled dogs!!!!
It all begins at 10:00 at the Trail head in Abingdon Virginia.
Mushers and their DOGSLED teams relay the serum at
Watauga, Alvarado Station, Iron Horse Campground and
then into the Park in Damascus.
11:30 festivities begin at Damascus Park
When its time to get out in the winter with the family, this is the place.
5:00 Meet the Mushers Dinner
includes presentation by
Alice White -
the young upcoming female musher from Georgia.
$12.00 per person includes choice of
beef, chicken or fish dinner, and the exciting presentation by
AliceWhite and fun and memorable live Auction with
Bill Borden (Iditarod Musher).
